Three Portuguese Films in the Toronto International Film Festival
"Eccentricities of a Blonde Haired Girl", "To Die Like a Man" and "Cordão Verde" are, to this date, the Portuguese films selected.
The most recent films of Manoel de Oliveira ("Eccentricities of a Blonde Haired Girl"), João Pedro Rodrigues ("To Die Like a Man") and Rossana Torres and Hiroatsu Suzuki ("Cordão Verde") will be screening in several festival sections.
Manoel de Oliveira's feature will screen in the "Masters" Section, "To Die Like a Man", will screen in the "Visions" section and "Cordão Verde" will screen in the "Wavelengths" section.
The "Wavelenghts" section is an important forum for international experimental film and video art that test the boundaries of the cinematic medium.
The "Masters" programme exhibits new works by the world's most established and renowned filmmakers.
"Visions" focuses on the innovative and is an exciting programme featuring the work of brazen newcomers and veteran filmmakers who are pushing the boundaries of contemporary cinema.
